Noble Environmental Power worked with the County of Clinton IDA and The Development Corporation to establish PILOT agreements for its three Wind Turbine projects. The company successfully broke ground in June 2007. The projects created hundreds of construction and permanent jobs, compensated the host communities and the taxing jurisdictions well and brought renewable energy to North Country residents.
Noble Environmental Power realized they needed a location for their National Operations Center in a relatively quick timeframe with a fixed budget. Furthermore, due to the nature of their business it was essential to have a location that was equipped with broadband and high-tech amenities; certain amenities were not available in the host town.
Through the collaboration of the CCIDA and TDC, the company was provided with an array of all suitable available properties within the County. After thoughtful review, Noble opted to convert 10,000 SF of existing industrial space within TDC's Air Industrial park, formerly used primarily for production and warehousing, into a state-of-the-art facility training center and national operations center that fully satisfied their needs.
