Revonate is a newly formed manufacturing entity established to undertake the re-manufacture of desktop computers, notebooks and other comparable products. The market for this product is primarily outside North America. Revonate negotiated an agreement with a large national vendor to re-manufacture monitors, projectors and notebooks for one of the three largest computer companies in the world.
The Company entered into a lease at a 22,000 sq foot facility, with an option to expand into an additional 48,000 sq feet of space. Revonate sought financial assistance to aid in the completion of the planned renovation and acquisition of machinery and equipment.
The Onondaga County Office of Economic Development requested that Revonate be designated as a regionally significant project under New York State's Empire Zone program. Revonate's application was approved in March of 2009. The company projected to employ 54 full time employees at the end of the first year, but went past their projection and hired approximately 225. The company is processing 3,330 units per day and expects to process close to 4,000 units a day by the end of 2009.
