Regional Economic Development Councils (REDC)
In 2011, Governor Andrew Cuomo established 10 Regional Economic Development Councils to develop long-term strategic plans for economic growth for those regions. The Councils are public-private partnerships made up of local experts and stakeholders from business, academia, local government, and non-government organizations.
Office of the New York State Comptroller (OSC)
The New York State Comptroller is the states chief fiscal officer who ensures that state and local governments use taxpayer money effectively and efficiently to promote the common good.
New York State Authorities Budget Office (ABO)
The Authorities Budget Office makes public authorities more accountable and transparent and acts in the public interest consistent with their intended purpose. The ABO is an independent office that, by law, receives administrative assistance and support from the Department of State for the effective and efficient execution of its powers and duties.
